“Why did I start this business? Well, let me tell you a story. When I was but a wee youngster, I used to spend my weekends helping my dear mum in the vegetable garden. Surrounded by nature and woodlands, all I could hear was the sweet melodies of the birds. It was then that my love for birds and wildlife was born. I devoured every book I could get my hands on and studied like a feathered fiend. And so, after school, I decided to pursue my passion and become a professional guide. Fast forward almost 16 years later, and I’m still chirping away as a seasoned pro. Join me on a journey of discovery and let’s wing it together!”
EXCELLENT Based on 19 reviews Posted on Diederik GVerified Quiet reliable professional guide, with knowledge about the bird world from his backyard, the national park Had a tour with Omar Jarju in Kiang West national park in Gambia. Quiet man, the national park is pretty much the backyard of where he lives, he made the impression of being connected to the region. Is reliable and has knowledge of birds and the national park. Despite the not ideal season still quite a few birds spotted, the national park was for me the most quiet place I have encountered in Gambia. Just some people from Mali who crossed The Gambia river and 1 boat with a motorbike, in the park furthermore mainly silence, space and birds that were as calm as Omar. You can reach him at +2203866952. Bookable for local trips, but also larger ones, for example throughout Gambia and Senegal,Posted on Dorota BVerified Birds watching and photography in Gambia - worth to experience! Dallu organized for me a two days phototrip in the Gambia, mainly to photo birds and the nature, guided by his friend and the safari in Senegal for my family. If one plans such trip, it is really worth to use services of proffesional birds watching guide - they know all the places worth to visit and how to get there! I felt safe and satisfied with service.Posted on Jasper BVerified Week trip to Senegal with Dallu I went on my second trip with Dallu this january. After visiting Gambia last time, this time we went the adventurous route and discovered Senegal. We visited places like Saloum, Bandia, Dakar, Touba. You could definitely find some birds rarely seen in Gambia and also more mammals. The landscape is more dry and savanna like. After visiting both countries I would recommend staying in Gambia though, as Senegal is much more expensive, very corrupt and the distances between interesting sites are much larger. Much thanks to Dallu for taking the risk to explore Senegal with me!Posted on Vacationer793853Verified The best bird watching guide 👍 Me and my parents used Dallu’s services on several occassions. First for the shorter bird spotting walks and trips around Kotu, but once we realised how passionate and knowledgeable he is, we decided to book longer 3 day trip to Tendaba. Everything was excellent we visited many places on our way there. In total managed to spot around 180 different bird species - all of which Dallu was able to name and describe. Our trip to Tendaba was so good, that we decided to go with Dallu again - this time to Kartong ponds- and that was great too. Prices were very reasonable too. I can 100% recommend Dallu’s services!Posted on TrumpetSpeed-04Verified We were not let down by this man, great guide and good company I have organised many trips to see birds in many countries but was advised to go through an official guide for the trip to Gambia.I found Dallu on line and was so glad we did.He provided everything and more when facing challenges from certain lodges we had booked.Constant communication.Very understanding when it came to the abilities of the group.Tailored the trip with some outstanding spots (Bird spots) for the opportunity to take some great pictures.Opportunity to go to some amazing places for over night staysHe fixed everything when it was looking tits up, so we did not miss outNever forget the melon sessions and Fanta lunches, the great beer and water robbery and the shopping trips. Still cant quite eat melon yet or have another egg sandwich. But lets not forget the best driver in Gambia, Bully Bully No problem is a legend.Posted on karinVerified Birdwatching in Gambia At the end of October we've visited the Gambia with Dallu.
